Secrets .. Shhh!
The biggest quality i find in a relationship is honesty. How much is too much though.. do you think you should tell your SO everything or leave out things? My bf wants me to never keep things from him and if its important to me that i should tell him. Do you tell your SO Everything?

I agree with your bf and yeah I tell my gf everytrhing. Secrets are bad because they create the false comfort and idea that it's okay to keep things and even lie sometimes. It's just suspicious in general and tests the trusts of a couple. Obviously you trust ur SO and stuff but if you ask about something and they respond its a secret or act really suspicious then yeah it messes things up. My gf used to keep stupid secrets from me that got hecktic and she eventually lied about things like txting and tlking to a guy... that's why from now on it's just don't lie, don't hide stuff, no secrets etc. It's hard to trust people especially for me so to me at least, Keeping secrets is generally a no, I'm the one she's with we love each other so there shouldn't be a single thing that we can't talk about. Trust Communication Love and Respect are the things that stand out to me in a relationship so to compromise one compromises the rest, trust ur partner enough to tell them anything comfortably which ties in with communicating and because you love and respect them you won't hide stuff or make it suspicious. If one aspect is compromised so are the others. Shes lied to me a couple times so it's still hard for me to completely trust her, and it creates a void in my love because I felt betrayed, "just because you don't cheat on someone physically doesn't mean you can't cheat"
@Hyuuga_Neiji@xanga - Yeah no i understand, I tell my bf everything. I keep absolutly nothing from him, its just something we agreed on when we first started dating.. no secrets and omission is betrayel. omitting to tell someone something. It's worked really well for us.
Me and my husband have been going through a rough patch right now 'cause I have a hard time trusting what he says 'cause he has, basically, lied to me. I tell him everything. I even told him one of the reasons why I feel odd around his friends -- I am a very sexual person and I would daydream about having sex with them. Haha. My best friend told me I shoudn't tell him 'cause it would hurt him, well I did 'cause I just can't hide things from him. Well when I told him he thought it was hilarious. He couldn't believe that I did that. Well I have become more controlling of that aspect now, haha.
But sometimes I wish he would just be honest with me. I have asked him about going to a strip club and he denied it and then me and my friends FOLLOWED him and that is where he went. Needless to say I can't trust him anymore. His reasoning was that he knew I would get upset if he told me but he wasn't doing anything wrong -- he was just hanging out with his best friend on his birthday and that is where his best friend wanted to go. I didn't care how he thought I would have felt -- he should have told me regardless. He had already gotten to hang out with him that day anyways. But because of that (and a few other lies and things he just didn't tell me about) I have a hard time trusting him and what he says he is going to be doing. We are going to go through counselling so I can see if they can help him see it from my perspective and why I believe he should be open and honest with me all the time.
